A RELATIONSHIP BASED ON TRUST AND TRANSPARENCY

The recipe for transposing an industrial process into a craft environment is the correlation between our customers' needs and our determination to meet them innovatively. Our strength: responsiveness. We develop tailor-made solutions for each one of our customers. This entrepreneurial spirit and sense of service create our unique relationship with our partners.

This entrepreneurial spirit, fostering a match between their expectations and the quality of our work, creates our unique relationship with our customers and earns their loyalty.

A SINCERE AND LASTING PARTNERSHIP WITH OUR SUPPLIERS

A rigorous choice has been made in selecting our suppliers, who are an integral part of our production process. Solid and sincere relationships have been built up over the years. They enable us to maintain a high level of standards, ethics, and quality of service. All our suppliers are independent companies involved in forest protection. These are essential values in our partnership.

EMPLOYEE SAFETY A TOP PRIORITY

We ensure that the working environment is adapted through constant investment in safety.

We consider health and safety at work to be fundamental values.

Our employees must be highly vigilant regarding machine-related risks in our different professions. To this end, every measure is taken to ensure their workstations are as ergonomic as possible. Both individual and collective equipment is regularly renewed to ensure everyone can work in optimum conditions of comfort and safety.

PARITY IS NOT AN EMPTY WORD FOR US

Women at Marie-Louise are present in all positions: line operator, forklift operator, team leader, printing, assembly, sales support, etc. The company is managed by two women, who are also partners.

Our team is made up of a rich and varied range of profiles with a wealth of different backgrounds, training, and experience.

CSR's social, economic, environmental, and partnership challenges are a tremendous opportunity for global progress. Every day, Marie-Louise's teams activate selection, monitoring, control processes, training, certification, and auditing in a quality-safety approach focused on sustainable development.

RESSOURCES

We are committed to creating ever-better products, not only for our customers but also for the environment.

100% of the wood we buy is used to manufacture cases or for recycling. Our wood is guaranteed to be untreated (no fungicides or other chemical processes). The absence of pests and fungi is ensured by moderate mechanical drying in compliance with the European standard on phytosanitary treatments ISPM15.

The pine's durability and stability are ensured by prolonged exposure to all weather elements after cutting, an important stage known as stabilization. This rest period is essential for our natural material to recover its mechanical properties.

Wood is a fragile resource. We must protect it and commit to its sustainable management. To this end, we began the PEFC certification project in 2022. This label, which we received during the year, commits us to purchasing and working only with wood from sustainably managed, PEFC-certified forests. All our suppliers are also certified.

Inks or gilding are used to mark wooden cases or boxes. All our products are solvent and toxic-free to protect our employees and meet current environmental standards.

JOB SUSTAINABILITY

The driving force behind our crating plant is the men and women who work there with passion. Their hard work and daily commitment enhance their know-how.

They are key elements in any company. Even more so in our case-making business, where manual, artisanal work is paramount.

Maire-Louise stands out for its inclusiveness.:

  • Our team comprises many women who break the codes of a traditionally male-dominated industry.

  • We have integrated disability into our human resources management practices, employing 4 disabled people.

  • Projects have been developed to promote the employability of seniors and young people. Today, 6 people over 55 put their experience to good use in the case department, and 2 young people under 25 have signed their first employment contracts with us.

This corporate culture fosters mutual respect while valuing the contributions of all employees. We're proud of it.

TRANSPORT SUSTAINABILITY

Our team is also committed to sustainable procurement and delivery. For example, we prefer to use full truck loads for both inbound and outbound deliveries so that transport has a limited environmental impact.

TERRITORIAL ROOTS

Located in Beychac et Caillau, Marie-Louise is situated between Saint-Emilion and the Médoc, in the middle of both banks.

Our machine manufacturers, cliché manufacturers, and interior suppliers are all located in Gironde or Nouvelle Aquitaine. This geographical proximity enables us to maintain a high level of responsiveness for our supplies and fast delivery times for our customers.

RECYCLING AND SECOND LIFE

During woodworking, numerous by-products are generated. These are losses inherent to woodworking in the form of shavings or losses associated with cutting.

Our manufacturing process is based on a circular economy. Everything we produce is optimized to limit losses and waste through recycling and reuse.

For example, all our shavings and sawdust are recycled. They are used by an equestrian club close to our workshop in their horse stalls. Cutting waste is recycled in other industries.

This process of recycling and reusing losses requires motivation and an adequate level of knowledge on the part of our employees about these issues and the stakes involved. This is made possible by ongoing team training and the constant search for concrete solutions.

Partnerships

FACTORY OF FUTURE

Marie Louise has been selected by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region to take part in the "Usine du Futur" program. This program aims to boost the productivity of the industrial fabric by helping companies to achieve excellence. The region mobilizes external partners for companies willing to improve their performance and work together on operational, managerial, and strategic issues.

PEFC CERTIFICATION

To promote sustainable forest management and preserve the resources linked to our activity, we have obtained the PEFC label. Since 2022, Marie-Louise has been PEFC-labeled for all the cases and boxes we produce. Being PEFC-labeled is a guarantee of confidence for our customers, as well as a commitment to a more sustainable environment.

"AND AFTER?"
PROJET DNA LYCÉE MAGENDIE

A partnership was set up between Bordeaux's Lycée Magendie and Château Roquefort to get students thinking about "how to give a second life to wooden cases."

The proposed project was to reuse these wooden causes as a material to become a practical and valuable object. This project aligns with Château Roquefort's and Marie Louise's environmental policy. It enables waste to be recycled while at the same time making the wooden case part of a circular economy.
